I want to take a moment to reflect on something that just a few people do. This is my second "Camino de Santiago", but it was very different from my first one. In this case I needed to face a layoff, I found myself without a job for the first time in my life. This "camino" prompted deep introspection about my professional path and if I'm following the correct one, and guess what? I confirmed (because I discovered this some time ago...) that my current trajectory was not aligned with all my desires.
During the "camino" I engaged in activities that are part of my life for a long time. I cherish connecting with people, aiding others (basically what I was doing in my previous roles), but I also love writting stories, discovering things, gaining insights and plan again, (this time in a better way). Additionally, my passion for sports shines through, whether through analysis or active participation. I feel more comfortable outside the field analysing and reporting, anyway....
The lesson of this trip was basically one: its crucial to pause, have time to stop the ball and ensure if the path you are crossing is the one you really like, even if you are in your 30's, 40's or 50's. Because it is never too late to come back and read your "life list" of your 13's and try to make those dreams too.. (Yes I also watched "The Life List" on Netflix).
Thanks to the ones that arrived here.
Now, I need to embark on the quest to find the right professional environment to nurture my dreams once more.
